The “Reconstruction of Kurigram District Jail” Project aims to establish a modern, secure, and sustainable correctional facility in Kurigram District, Rangpur Division, Bangladesh. The project is sponsored by the Security Services Division, Ministry of Home Affairs and implemented by the Department of Prisons and the Public Works Department (PWD). With an estimated cost of BDT 325.39 crore, the project will be implemented from October 2025 to October 2028. The initiative focuses on improving inmate welfare, rehabilitation services, prison management efficiency, and overall correctional infrastructure.
