The “Upgradation of District Highways to Appropriate Standards and Width (Rangpur Zone) – Phase II” project is being implemented by the Roads and Highways Department (RHD) under the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges. The project aims to rehabilitate and widen district highways to improve road safety, connectivity, and transportation efficiency across the Rangpur Zone. Key works include highway reconstruction, road widening, and rigid pavement construction to support regional economic growth, agriculture, and tourism. The project has an estimated cost of BDT 2,609.83 crore and will be implemented from July 2024 to June 2027. The project area covers 10 districts of Rangpur and Rajshahi Divisions, Bangladesh.
